Overview
FestiveLens helps a photographer or studio deliver photographs for a specific wedding. The studio controls the wedding workspace and decides when its guest and couple experiences are available.
Face search is limited to the wedding you open. FestiveLens does not use a guest reference to search other weddings or build a public face directory.
Information we handle
Studios and account holders
- Account details such as name, email address, authentication information and studio membership.
- Wedding details, settings, share links, upload status, storage use and activity needed to operate the service.
- Photographs and folder information supplied by the studio through supported upload or cloud-storage connections.
Couples and guests
- Album selections, retouch notes, visibility choices and other proofing decisions submitted through a private review link.
- Face-search reference photos supplied from a camera or device gallery.
- Technical information needed for security and operation, such as session identifiers, device/browser information, request timing and IP-derived security signals.
Face search and biometric information
When you choose face search, FestiveLens uses either one reference photo for a quick search or five guided photos for the best available results. It detects a face and creates a numerical face template so it can compare your reference with faces already indexed inside that wedding.
- Your camera video is not recorded by the five-photo capture flow.
- Reference photos are temporary and are deleted after the search request is processed.
- An encrypted numerical template may remain while your result session is active so FestiveLens can refresh your matches if the studio publishes more photographs.
- Only results that pass the configured matching threshold are shown. Face search can still miss photographs or return an incorrect match.
How we use information
- Provide wedding galleries, face search, downloads, album proofing and studio management.
- Protect private galleries, prevent abuse, investigate failures and keep the service reliable.
- Create optimized previews and temporary download archives.
- Measure service performance and improve the product using information that is appropriate for that purpose.
- Meet legal obligations and enforce the Terms of use.
Retention
- Raw guest reference photos are removed after the face-search request completes.
- The browser may remember an active matched-gallery session on the device for up to 30 days. Starting a search for someone else replaces that remembered session.
- Encrypted face templates and matched-result records remain available for up to 30 days. They become unusable at expiry and are deleted by a daily cleanup job within the following 24 hours.
- Temporary download archives expire automatically.
- Wedding photographs and studio records remain according to the studio’s service relationship, settings, legal obligations and backup requirements.
Your choices
Face search is optional. You can decline consent and ask the photographer or studio about another way to receive photographs. You may also use the full wedding gallery when the studio makes it available.
Depending on applicable law, you may ask to access, correct or delete personal information, withdraw consent, or object to certain processing. We may need information that identifies the relevant wedding and verifies the request.
Security
FestiveLens uses wedding-scoped access controls, expiring sessions, protected download routes, encryption for retained face templates, and other technical and organizational safeguards. No internet service is completely secure, so studios and guests should protect private links and PINs.
